The First Intel SmartPhone - Lenovo K800 Latest Specs & How to View PowerPoint on Lenovo K800 Better

The First Intel SmartPhone - Lenovo K800

intel & lenovo on ces On CES 2012, Intel dropped some of the biggest news, announcing that it was entering the smartphone chip market and Lenovo K800 will be the first Intel-powered smartphone.

Liu Jun, Lenovo senior vice president and president of mobile Internet and digital home, took to the stage to announce the phone, saying the move is just the first of many, and represents a heavy investment by the company into the mobile space.

Lenovo K800 Specs

The beastly 4.5-inch 720p device sample that the company had on-hand is running a highly modified version of Android, and while the interface may not look familiar, the overall app experience shouldn't be much different from what you're used to.

The official spec list includes a 1.6GHz Intel Medfield processor, Android 2.3, a TFT display and an 8 megapixel camera with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200. For now, the K800 is compatible with WCDMA HSPA+ and was running on AT&T's 3G network -- there's no word of LTE on this version, which seems logical considering that the 4G network is a bit hard to come by in Lenovo's native China, where the device is expected to launch first.

Naturally, there's also 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS connectivity.

Though we haven't get the full specifics of Lenovo K800, we are sure that this Atom-powered K800 is running Android, a highly modified version. Office apps on Android platform are not as stronger as Microsoft Office we used on computers.

It will be enjoyable to view presentations or videos on Lenovo K800 with its 4.5″ HD 720p TFT screen. Since we can't play powerpoint with embedded audios, videos or animations, converting PowerPoint to Video is a good solution.

Leawo PowerPoint to Video Converter is a professional tool to convert PowerPoint presentations to videos of any popular format and brings neither distortion, nor a slight loss of PowerPoint effects to any output video. You can follow the steps on How to Convert PowerPoint to DVD/Video, Keeping Original Audios, Videos and Animations, and Play on More Devices.

Lenovo is one of two companies that has announced an allegiance with Intel, the other being Motorola and it is not just smartphones where we will see the new Atom processor Z2460 platform (Medfield) but tablets too.

View PowerPoint on Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia is planning to launch the Lumia 900 Ace (codenamed Eloko) at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show next week in Las Vegas.

Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone

For starters, the handset will feature a 1.4GHz processor, a 4.3-inch WVGA Nokia ClearBlack AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM and an 8MP rear-facing camera. At 4.3-inches, the screen is a bit larger than the 3.7-inch display found on the Lumia 800 but the resolution remains the same. The phone is said to ship with the Mango build of Windows Phone and includes an 1830mAh battery. The phone features T-Mo’s 1700MHz band, so there should be a way to hop onto the pink network shortly after the phone’s release.

The Ace weighs in at 160 grams, just 18 grams more than the Lumia 800 which is likely due to the larger screen and the addition of an LTE radio. Thickness is expected to be around 12 millimeters.

There’s no mention of pricing for Nokia’s high-end Lumia phone but we should know more next week at CES. In addition to the 900, Nokia is rumored to be preparing another mid-range device for launch as well, the Lumia 719. The 900 Ace is set to launch with AT&T and we suspect the 719 would follow the same path.

Make Nokia Lumia 900 Stronger Like PC

Pocket Office is installed on Lumia 900, but it still can't be compared with Microsoft Office on PC. Many functions are not able to be used in Pocket Office, such as setting animations, inserting and playing sound. If you wanna show PowerPoint on Lumia 900 with animations, embedded audios and videos, Leawo PowerPoint to Video Converter helps you convert presentation to video. Since Nokia Lumia 900 supports MP4, H.263, H.264, and WMV video formats, the output video with original multimedias can be played normally.

Epiphany, January 6, is a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God the Son as a human being in Jesus Christ.

Epiphany is a public holiday in countries such as Austria, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Poland, Ethiopia (but on different date that varies annually), parts of Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, and Uruguay. It is not a public holiday in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States (except the US Virgin Islands where it is a public holiday).

January 6, which is 12 days after Christmas in the Gregorian calendar, marks not only the end of the Christmas holidays but also the start of the Carnival season, which climaxes with Mardi Gras. In some European countries, such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia, children dress as the three kings and visit houses. In their roles as the kings, or wise men, they sing about the Jesus'  birth and pay homage to the "king of kings". They are rewarded with praise and cookies.

Dia de los Reyes Magos is the Latin American celebration of Epiphany. In many Latin American countries, it is the three wise men and not Santa Claus who bring gifts for children. Children write letters to the wise men telling them how good they were and what gifts they want. In France Le Jour des Rois (the Day of Kings), sometimes called the FĂȘte des Rois, is celebrated with parties for children and adults. The gallete des rois, or “cake of kings”, highlights these celebrations. This cake is round and flat, cut into the pantry, covered with a white napkin and carried into a dining room.

Children in Spain fill their shoes with straw or grain for the three kings’ horses to eat and place them on balconies or by the front door on Epiphany Eve. The next day they find cookies, sweets or gifts in their place. The “three kings” make an entry in many cities in Spain on Epiphany Eve, accompanied by military bands and drummers in medieval dress.
