The new nook tablet's design is very much like Nook Color. The nook tablet is to the Nook Color as the iPhone 4S is to the iPhone 4.The Tablet has had a few improvements to its feel and some contours on the tablet--it's not a carbon copy of the Color, physically--but the carabiner is back, and so is the very appealing minimalist look. The edges and back have a slightly soft touch, not rubberized, but almost like Teflon coating on cookware. It feels nice.
Specifics
The nook tablet weighs less than a pound, has a battery that enables nine hours of video watching and comes with 16 gigabytes of memory and an SD slot to add more. It has a 7-inch, 1024x600-pixel color display, a 1-GHz dual-core processor, and are available in Wi-Fi only. It runs on Google Inc.’s Android system for mobile devices.
Feature
The strength of the nook tablet is the strength of Barnes & Noble, which is books. The giant bookseller offers some 2.5 million current titles. Beyond that the Tablet isn't so tied to one company's servers to function, and so works more like other tablets. If you expect to take your tablet to a lot of places where there is no Wi-Fi connection, the nook tablet likely will work better for you with its additional storage. That's also true if you are an avid reader and want the best selection of books to choose from, many priced at $9.99 or less.
